Minimum & Winning Days

The hidden day count: not just “trade 4 days”, but “4 profitable days with trades opened”.

A trading day counts only if you OPEN a position that day — holding a 3-day swing counts as 1 day. Some firms need winning days (profit >$0 or >$150), not just any day. FTMO needs 4 days, FundedNext 5, Instant 0.

Deep Dive

Why this rule exists

A trading day counts only if you OPEN a position that day — holding a 3-day swing counts as 1 day. Some firms need winning days (profit >$0 or >$150), not just any day. FTMO needs 4 days, FundedNext 5, Instant 0.

How traders get caught

This rule is often buried in FAQ or enforced only at payout review — not on the pricing page. Check the exact firm wording before assuming the headline covers your case.

How to stay safe

Verify the firm terms excerpt, keep evidence logs of your setup, and test edge cases in the simulator before sizing up.

The Formula

How it is calculated

Trading Day = 1 if Position OPENED that calendar day (server time) else 0

Real Dollar Example

You hold GBPUSD Mon→Thu without opening new trade = 1 trading day, not 4. You need 3 more opens to meet 4-day minimum.

Common Traps & Mistakes

1

Holding one trade for a week and thinking you met 5-day rule.

2

Closing all trades at 00:05 and counting it as next day — server is CE(S)T, not local.
