Restricted Countries & KYC
Residency, ID match, and payout-name match decide eligibility before any profit matters.
Firms block purchases from sanctioned and restricted jurisdictions, and US access varies by platform — MT5 rails commonly exclude US persons while futures rails serve them. KYC runs after passing: government ID, selfie, proof of address, and sometimes video must match the purchase name and country. Payouts release only to the verified name; third-party wallets and mismatched addresses bounce. VPN purchases from blocked regions are void on discovery. Verify eligibility and ID spelling before paying the fee.

How traders get caught
This rule is often buried in FAQ or enforced only at payout review — not on the pricing page. Check the exact firm wording before assuming the headline covers your case.
How to stay safe
Verify the firm terms excerpt, keep evidence logs of your setup, and test edge cases in the simulator before sizing up.
The Formula
How it is calculated
Real Dollar Example
On a $100K challenge bought for $499 from an allowed country, you pass both phases and submit KYC with a different surname spelling plus a third-party crypto wallet. The $3,000 payout bounces for name mismatch; correcting to the verified name releases $3,000 minus split 5 days later. A purchase from a restricted country would void the $499 entirely.
Common Traps & Mistakes
Buying via VPN from a restricted country and passing — still void at KYC.
Registering under a nickname that never matches government ID.
Requesting payout to a partner wallet to save fees — automatic bounce.
